What Fits a Honda CR-V: Roof Racks, Cargo Boxes and Bike Carriers

The CR-V is one of the least complicated vehicles on this site to fit. Honda's published roof load figure has held at 165 lb (75 kg) across a long run of model years, rails are standard on most trims, and the roof is low enough to load without gymnastics.
The one thing to check is your trim. Base trims in several years shipped without rails, which turns a straightforward rail-mount purchase into a clamp-on foot pack plus a vehicle-specific fit kit — a different part and a different price.
It is also worth noting that the 165 lb figure applies to Honda's own rack. An aftermarket rack does not raise it, and a rack with a higher rating does not override it.
